"Susan Fralick-Ball is one of the BEST presenters I have heard (and I've been going to these courses for over 26 years)! WELL DONE!"
"Very INTERESTING and INFORMATIVE. I will be able to utilize and apply what I learned today in my practice. Thank you!"
It is with great sadness that I share this news with our professional customer community. HEALTH ED and the Autism community have lost a wonderful friend, extraordinary teacher, and just plain funny and endearing guy. Dr. Ortiz passed away on April 11, 2012 following a long illness.
John M. Ortiz, PhD, director and founder of the Asperger's Syndrome Institute ®, was a licensed psychologist, consultant, musician, composer, and certified clinical hypnotist. Among his many accomplishments, John found time to work with our planning team from 2003 until December 2011 to create and deliver ten different programs to educate professionals about Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Nonverbal Learning Disorder, and other spectrum disorders. He presented these extraordinary programs for HEALTH ED over the course of those eight years and entertained as well as educated 39,534 professionals in various fields.
John held a special place in the hearts of all HEALTH ED staff members, and we shall never forget all those moments of joyful collaboration and "road warrior" travel. Our thoughts and prayers go to his beloved wife Roz.
